beautiful people
never lie
“You know how they categorize Shakespeare's plays, right? If it ends with a wedding, it's a comedy. And if it ends with a funeral, it's a tragedy. So we're all living tragedies, because we all end the same way, and it isn't with a goddamn wedding.”

"Oh, if only I were fifteen," she would sigh. "I know that I shall love the world above, and the human beings who live up there!"

Happy Birthday Hermione Jean Granger (b. 19 September, 1979)

doxiequeen1:

Still quite a bit left to do, but it’s really coming together! I like the colors in this dress so much more then my red and white version. I think it looks a lot less juvenile and way more magical.

It’s made from organza and chiffon with a tulle overlay and $60 of fake flowers.

I have information about how I’m making it here! And a video about it here

Echo -

In Greek mythologyEcho was an Oread (a mountain nymph) who loved her own voiceZeus loved consorting with beautiful nymphs and visited them on Earth often. Eventually, Zeus’s wife, Hera, became suspicious, and came from Mt. Olympus in an attempt to catch Zeus with the nymphs.

Sometimes the old and beautiful nymph Echo would distract and amuse Zeus’ wife, Hera, with long and entertaining stories while Zeus took advantage of the moment to ravish the other mountain nymphs. When Hera discovered the trickery, she was so annoyed she punished the talkative Echo by taking away her voice, except in foolish repetition of another’s shouted words. Thus, all Echo could do was repeat the voice of another

attractive people: a poem

you are attractive

how and why

stop being attractive

im going to cry

icarus never dreamt of flying
persephone didn’t ask for a crown
daphne hardly wanted the love of a god

the myths are varied, true and false,
full of gods and monsters, fate and luck
but they are stories of more than magic
more than immortality and divinity

they are stories of people like you and me
people who didn’t pray for heroism
or for a throne high above on olympus

myths are stories of humans
who loved and lost like us
who fell from great heights
to even greater depths

the gods would never dare to tell
the secret of their myths:

but the truth is, the highest
form of divinity
is humanity.
